Post-Flashpoint

He eventually took part in Project: O.T.A.C. that he believed would change everything. O.T.A.C. was the Omniscient Transformation Advanced Cell that was an intelligent cell that could be programmed to form any organic tissue desired. With it, Silas thought it could be used to revolutionise the field of tissue regeneration as the cells could emulate or replace vital organs. He became fixated on the completion of the project with the rush causing it to explode during irradiation treatment that injured his wife Elinore Stone and causing the development of cancer within her body in later years. The guilt drove a new obsession as he began looking for a cure for his wife and began to neglect his own son Victor Stone. Secretly, Silas used the O.T.A.C. material to clone himself 13 times and used these replicants as guinea pigs to develop a cure for his wife's cancer. Despite his efforts, his wife perished from her disease and Silas disposed of the replicants. Unknown to him, the bodies were taken by black market dealers who decided to use them for experiments. This caused one of the O.T.A.C.s that was the thirteenth and last of the clones to gain sentience and develop more human characteristics of his creator. Unknown to anyone, this O.T.A.C. resented his creator and called himself Anomaly with him seeking revenge against Silas Stone. (Cyborg v2 #9)

At some point, he was assigned to the superhuman study project at S.T.A.R. Labs Detroit branch. They recovered a device later discovered to be a Mother Box from the wreckage of a battle with Superman. (Justice League v2 #2)

After the death of Simon Stagg, his son Sebastian Stagg was named his heir and took over the Stagg Industries shares in Terrifitech. During this time, he secretly sought to use his new found wealth and resources to generate even more profit through criminal ventures. He recruited Silas Stone to his cause as a secret member of the Stagg Circle that included the robot Staggatron and the alien bounty hunter Lobo. (The Terrifics v1 #30)

After betraying the Terrifics, he joined Stagg but saw that Sebastian was unbalanced as he was not looking for simple profit but engaged in irrational criminal acts. This included using the Parasite and creating a horde of parasitic creatures that took possession of human hosts who began to infest Gateway City. Sebastian Stagg intended to offer the Stagg Circle and their tech as a means of removing the infection but were charging exuberant prices. When the Terrifics arrived, Silas Stone turned on Sebastian and wanted to stop his mad scheme but he came to be infected by one of the parasites. Mr. Terrific caused the parasites to enter the campus of Terrifitech where he caused the entire structure to be propelled into the sky thus stranding the creatures there. The Terrifics then worked on a cure with Silas being thankful to Holt for removing the parasite infection from him whereupon he was allowed to return to the city. (The Terrifics v1 #30)
