Biography

Over 1001 years ago, "Silence" was found by Roodaka, who mutated him into his current appearance and presented him as a gift to the Dark Hunters. The Dark Hunters took Silence in, gave him a codename that reflected the sound-dampening abilities he possessed, and trained him to use these abilities to stealthily slip into well-guarded enemy islands and fortresses to capture targets of significance. Silence completed various missions for the Dark Hunters over the years, capturing Toa, Turaga, and Brotherhood of Makuta agents undetected. He even continued to use stealth on Odina between missions to the point where none of the other Dark Hunters could even determine where he lived on the island.

When the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, Silence and the other surviving Dark Hunters emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Like most living beings native to the Matoran Universe, Silence is a biomechanical lifeform whose body consists of both organic and metallic protodermis.

Powers and abilities

As his Dark Hunter codename suggests, Silence has the ability to create a sound-dampening field that extends approximately three feet around his body, enabling him to move and grab targets without either making a sound. He is armed with double-edged blades on his forearms and a Kanoka Disk Launcher equipped with freeze disks. His Dark Hunter training has taught him how to sneak into a variety of heavily-guarded fortresses while remaining undetected, making him a formidable agent.

Notes

  • The Silence model was created by David Daut, known on BIONICLE fansite BZPower as "Locutus of Bohrok", and entered into the LEGO Magazine Dark Hunter Building Contest in 2005. Silence was one of the winning entries and was canonized by BIONICLE lead writer Greg Farshtey, but was not featured in the BIONICLE: Dark Hunters guidebook. Silence was featured in the May-June 2006 issue of LEGO Brickmaster Magazine instead.
