History
Spider-Bots were small robotic drones that were created for use by Spider-Man. They were actually created by Otto Octavius after he had successfully managed to commandeer Peter Parker's body. As his superhero persona, Octavius began to re-invent the Web-Slinger as the Superior Spider-Man where he built a large number of Spider-Bots to assist him. (Superior Spider-Man v1 #2)

- Spider-Bots were created by Dan Slott and Ryan Stegman where they made their first appearance in Superior Spider-Man v1 #2 (January, 2013).
Alternate Versions
- In Edge of Spider-Verse v4 #3 (2024), an alternate version of the Spider-Bots appeared in the Spider-Verse reality designated as Earth-1978 in the Multiverse. A colony of spider-like nanobots created by the Space Station Bronx utilizing Shi'ar technology. These nanobots were known as Sanitation, Planning, Integrated Defense and Engineering Robots, or S.P.I.D.E.R., which assisted Star-Spider by forming an armor around her.

Television
- In Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Spider-Bots appeared in the setting of the animated television series. They were spider-themed robots created and owned by Team Spidey. The first created was the red TRACE-E who was followed by the black TWIST-E and then by the white TWIRL-E. In the episode "Bad Bot", Doc Ock created an evil doppelganger of TWIST-E sent to infiltrate Team Spidey.
Video games
- In Marvel's Spider-Man, Spider-Bots appeared in the setting of the video game. Peter Parker created the Spider-Bots. The Spider-Drones variant could fly and shoot electrical blasts. The Spider-bots variants were used to crawl in spaces Peter could not and could emit sound as well as EMP blasts.
- In Marvel Rivals, Spider-Bots appeared in the setting of the third person video game.
Other
- In WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, SPD//R Bots appeared as antagonists in the setting of the Disney attraction. "Spider-Bots" are small robots with limited A.I. that are modelled after spiders. The robots had eight legs, automated by electroactive polymer, "Muscles" and equipped with a plasma deconstruction and reconstruction tool, allowing them to tear apart matter in order to make replicas of themselves. The robots had four eyes equipped with infrared lasers, designed to make and process 3D scans of their environments. Spider-Bots were designed by Peter Parker during his time in Avengers Campus California's Worldwide Engineering Brigade. Peter showed off the Spider-Bots at an open house, intended to present the automated vehicles of Project: SL1NG//R. During Peter's presentation, the Spider-Bots began replicating out of control and spread throughout Avengers Campus, with the threat of destroying it. Several Spider-Bots became exposed to Alien Fluid and Pym Particles which they duplicated with, creating dangerous variants of themselves.
