History
The Stark Pod was the latest in telecommunication technology developed by Stark International. It was heralded as the first handheld holographic phone and entertainment device that had ever been created by mankind in the modern age. Howard Stark headed the public unveiling of the Stark Pod that occurred in Times Square. He was greeted by members of the international press where he showed the Stark Pod. However, the unveiling was stopped when explosions detonated at the scene and debris forced the people to flee from the scene. The danger forced Howard Stark's driver to take his charge away whilst James Rhodes secretly in the War Machine armor began to save people. At the same time, Iron Man moved into the scene to save citizens and believed that the act was perpetrated by Obadiah Stane.
Overview
In appearance, the telephone resembled a black handset with a center green sphere. When activated, the center opened up into two flaps that moved to the side. A screen was unveiled beneath the flaps that projected 3D images. This allowed it to function as a holographic phone where it was able to serve as an entertainment system. The Stark Pod allowed users to watch 3D media and create holo-images of friends in order to talk to them.
