Starway (Heroic Age)
The Starway is a method of FTL travel that features in the anime series Heroic Age.
History
One theory regarding the Tribe of Gold was that one of their objectives was allowing warfare without boundaries in order to stimulate the migration of the lives of most of the tribes. (Episode: The Planet Codomos) This goal was believed to relate with the intention of connecting all the lives of sentients once their power to create Starways manifsted. With this one, the tribes would interact with each other between the planets thus becoming the power to create the Starways with these routes spreading across the universe. (Episode: The Agreement of Death) After the Golden Tribe departed the universe, the Starway to the Tribe of Heroes homeworld of Elysium became lost after its Starway seemingly disappeared. (Episode: The Planet Codomos) Thus, the ancient world of Elysium that had lost its Starway was said to contain the power of the Tribe of Gold. (Episode: The Agreement of Death) Once a tribe developed space travel, the majority of them constantly created new bases and followed the genesis of planets as well as the expansion of the Starway. Such a process of development was done so by both the Silver Tribe and the Bronze Tribe. (Episode: The Cemetery Belt)
It was believed that the Silver Tribe had revealed to the other tribes that the Nodos were involved in the battles. As a result, every planet began to refuse aiding the Iron Tribe in fear that their respective worlds would face destruction. Thus, there were fears by the crew of the Argonaut that the Starways would be closed to them and that they would be forced to drift through space. This led to Princess Dhianeila commanding that her crew leave the Starway and that she would guide them as she intended to fulfill her mission in reclaiming the hope of mankind. (Episode: The Invasions Between the Star Systems) The Silver Tribe's forces were expected to rally at the Starway though the Human forces faced trouble in navigation as the previously stable Starway had become distorted due to the battles between the Nodos. In the battle, Bellcross had entered into a frenzy with the ferocity of the battle causing immense damage in the solar system that was leading to the Iron Tribe's fleet being pulled by the gravity of the Starway. The Iron Tribe fleet was located in the center of the Alta star system where they were securing the Starway to the world of Codomos. (Episode: When the Light Rains Down) In order to end the war, Princss Dhianeila ordered the Argonaut to make a course for the Silver Tribe's homeworld of Codomos. Once there, the Princess met with Prome O of the Tribe of Silver in order to open a dialogue for peace. This meeting led to Prome O revealing her theories regarding the Starways and the Golden Tribe as well as the secret of the precursor race lying on the planet Elysium. She indicated that Dhianeila's ability to navigate without the Starway would lead to the discovery of that lost world. (Episode: The Planet Codomos) As a result, the Argonaut departed for Elysium as the conditions were that if the Iron Tribe learnt of the secrets of the Golden Tribe then the war with the Tribe of Silver would end. After several warps, the Argonaut was prepared to reach the world under the direction of the princess. (Episode: The Agreement of Death)
Overview
It was claimed that the Starway was actually the interaction between the planets and at the same time were their actual lives. They were born when planets were born and disappeared when worlds died. In addition, the interaction of the lives from the different planets was capable of creating Starways with such a process actually filling the universe with Starways. (Episode: The Planet Codomos) It was believed that the power to create a Starway was present within everyone and that it would awaken within all sentients. (Episode: The Agreement of Death)
The destruction of a planet was capable of distorting a Starway and leading it to become unstable. (Episode: The Agreement)
Princss Dhianeila of the Iron Tribe had the unique ability of navigating space without the Starway and even tracking down these routes. (Episode: The Planet Codomos) This was considered a noteworthy ability of navigating without the aid of the Starway. (Episode: When the Light Rains Down)
