- Stone was created by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson where he made his first appearance Daredevil v1 #187 (October, 1982).

- In Daredevil, Stone made a minor cameo appearance in the Netflix live-action television series where he was portrayed by actor David Sobolov. He was not identified by name but was referred to as Stone in the credits. Stone was shown as being a member of the Chaste with Stick reporting to him about Matt Murdock and the coming conflict with the Hand.
Films
- In Elektra, Stone appeared in the 2005 live-action film with a different backstory and was portrayed by actor Bob Sapp. This version was a black male who was a member of the Hand and was one of the assassins that worked under Kirigi as they sought the Treasure.
