Superintendent Waller

Superintendent Waller was a police official in the town of Sutton and the superior of the incompetent Inspector Gittings. After several people began disappearing or turning up dead and horribly mutilated after he became superintendent of the local police force, Waller was faced with the unenviable task of having to confront the second Slime Beast to plague the seaside town in several years. Due to the original monster's rampage, Waller sought the advice and assistance of Gavin Royle, who'd killed the first beast. He pledged that his men, armed with semiautomatic weapons, would kill this second monster as well. Along with wildfowling guide Brian Bromley, they tracked the Slime Beast to Josh Bingham's farm, arriving just in time to save the farmer. Despite Waller's confidence in his officers' weapons, they failed to hurt the Slime Beast, as did Bromley's shotgun. In the end, a bolt of lightning killed the monster.
