Supreme Monstrosity
The Supreme Monstrosity was an ancient, evil reptilian creature which ruled over the dinosaurs during the Mesozoic Era. He lived in an alternate reality that resembled the hell of the Judeo-Christian religion, and he himself even had an appearance that called to mind the Satan of Christianity. A cruel and pitiless entity, he regarded the primitive reptiles as his "children" and despised the more uplifted Saurians who had evolved and thus developed souls and consciences and refused to obey him. He schemed to turn back time in order to turn Earth into a realm where his mindless, soulless dinosaur minions could rampage freely. He was given his chance thanks to temporal physicist Dr. Elias Thorne, the inventor of TimeScan. When the time beam penetrated through the time-space continuum to turn time back to allow the scientists and delegates aboard the Prometheus to view the prehistoric era, the Supreme Monstrosity used his connection with the space station's viewscreen to attack the process, causing it to "tilt," creating a much wider and more devastating phenomenon than Thorne had intended. Dinosaurs began materializing all over Earth, slaughtering the populace. Humanity would've been doomed but for the fact that a noble Saurian, disapproving of what the Supreme Monstrosity was done, contacted Dr. Thorne in a dream, informing him of the evil god. With this information, Thorne was able to make preparations to correct the "tilt." The Supreme Monstrosity, enraged, reached through the TimeScan viewer, grabbing the scientist and jerking him through into his hellish realm. Whether this was in an attempt to stop him or whether he simply wanted the man responsible for ruining his plans to suffer is unclear. In any event, though Thorne died in the monster's grasp, his wife and fellow scientist Dr. Helen Thorne was able to reverse the "tilt," sending the dinosaurs back violently, then overloaded the nuclear furnace aboard the Prometheus, destroying the time viewer through which the Supreme Monstrosity could come through and influence this universe, cutting off his hellish realm forever and trapping him.
