The Sword of Lucifer
The prime origins of the mystical weapon asset designated as the Sword of Lucifer trace back to the ancient celestial war fought against God. The archangel Michael forcefully knocked the weapon out of Lucifer's grasp, causing the dark artifact to plummet directly onto the Earth's surface. Woven with an intrinsic, hardcoded cosmic connection to the underworld, the blade operated as an absolute siphon for demonic energy, drawing its immense destructive payload directly from the depths of Hell. In the year 359, a legendary dragonslayer named Gideon claimed the physical asset to engage in a brutal tactical clash against the dark forces in England, utilizing its un-shatterable edge to confront a corrupt Darkness host named Bolo. Gideon drove the blade straight through the heart of his enemy, trapping the weapon alongside the host's skeleton inside a deeply sealed, forgotten well for over a millennium.
The long-lost weapon asset was retrieved from its subterranean resting place when an artifact collector commissioned the recovery skills of the human archaeologist Lara Croft. Lara tracked the specific historical telemetry to the ruins of an ancient well near London, successfully extracting the dark-metalled blade from the calcified bones of its past victim. Upon handing the item over to her contractor, the individual unmasked himself as the immortal Gideon, who immediately presented the Sword of Lucifer to his chosen successor, a powerful witch named Daria. The asset immediately recognized Daria’s demonic lineage, unlocking its internal power matrix and allowing the youth to launch an instantaneous execution strike that terminated her own mentor to claim absolute ownership of the blade.
The underlying data-siphoning and energy-manipulation subroutines of the Sword of Lucifer were weaponized by Daria to launch a definitive offensive against the cosmic balance of power. Seeking to eliminate any rival magical threats, Daria tracked down the modern Darkness host, Jackie Estacado. She utilized the blade's hardcoded energetic capabilities to intercept his shadow constructs, bypassing his standard defenses to forcefully tear his primordial powers directly out of his genetic matrix. The sword safely contained the stolen cosmic essence within its dark crystalline structure, rendering the Darkness host entirely baseline human while augmenting Daria's own reality-warping traits with a massive surge of stolen netherworld force.
