Biography
Tadzio de Santis was a young male human child prodigy whose family was killed by government forces of Fascist Italy in Porto Venere in 1936. The boy as subjected to an experimental project to create a supersoldier with the procedure being overseen by Dr. Maria Vaselli. She though objected to the cruelty of using the boy and fled to the United States to offer her services to the Americans. The early version of the procedure resulted in his skin becoming burnt and scarred where he came to be known as the Red Skull.

After being turned into a supersoldier, the procedure had resulted in horrific burns across de Santis's face leading to him adopting the moniker of the Red Skull.
Powers and abilities
Tadzio de Santis was originally an ordinary human being though one noted for being a child prodigy. He came to be subject to supersoldier experiments that imparted on him superhuman strength and reflexes. However, the early version of the procedure had resulted in his skin being burnt leaving it with a horrific, scarred red texture.

- Tadzio de Santis was created by Stephen Tolkin and Lawrence J. Block where he was portrayed by actor Scott Paulin who featured in the setting of the 1990 Captain America live-action film.
