Origin

Taallulah Black in Jonah Hex v2 #16.

Tallulah Black

Black was a tragic young woman living on a Tennessee homestead in 1871 when seven men claiming to be government agents slaughtered her parents and brothers to steal their land. Tallulah survived the raid but was shot in the head, causing her to lose her left eye before she managed to bury her family and make her way to Little City to work as a prostitute. Three years later, she was discovered by one of the original raiders, who slashed and severely mutilated her face and body before leaving her for dead once again. Driven by a thirst for vengeance, she tracked down the bounty hunter Jonah Hex and convinced him to teach her how to fight and handle a firearm. Equipped with these skills, she achieved her revenge by tracking down and gunning down all seven of the men who destroyed her family in a historic street shootout in Dodge City, Kansas. Post-Flashpoint

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

Overview

Personality and attributes

Tallulah Black in Jonah Hex v2 #17.

In appearance, Tallulah Black was a 19th-century American woman with a heavily scarred, lean, and athletic physique resulting from her violent past. Her most defining physical characteristic was her severely disfigured face, which was covered in extensive knife scars and marked by a missing left eye that she typically concealed behind a dark eyepatch. She had long, dark brown hair that framed her hardened features, and her eyes were a deep brown color. Refusing traditional women's clothing of the era due to her hazardous lifestyle, she wore practical, rugged Western attire suitable for a gunfighter. Her clothing choices prioritized mobility and utility, featuring leather elements, heavy boots, and gun belts designed to hold her firearms rather than any decorative or colorful garments.
