Talon (Mighty Max)
Talon was a creature imprisoned in the Astral Plane. He appears as a giant, moldering skull held aloft by a giant eagle. When Max was accidentally transported to the Astral, Talon took his Cosmic Cap- the key to his escape- and left the Plane. Max was freed when the guardian of the exit portal recognized him as the Capbearer. Max, Virgil, and Norman managed to shatter Talon's source of power (which resembled a golden compact disc) and shattered his eyes, wherein his stolen souls were held. Talon was apparently destroyed there, but was later resurrected by Skullmaster to hunt Max when Virgil hid the Capbearer in the Astral Plane.

Talon was originally known as Clawber in the toy series, and he was not a disembodied skull originally, but rather an undead, skull-faced villain in purple robes wearing a crown which resembles a bird's claw gripping his head. He had two horrible pets, a giant vulture and a soul-sucking leech, and got around in a vehicle called the Molar Module. The toy's name was changed to Talon after a while to reflect the cartoon.
