Biography
Tanya Spears was a female human born the daughter of scientist Somya Spears. At 17 years old, she was already a postdoc fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. By this point, she came to work at Starr Industries, and helped Huntress retrieve stolen isotopes. (Worlds' Finest v1 #24)
After Power Girl and Huntress traveled through the portal back to Earth 2, Tanya suddenly displayed super powers, as well as an improved physique. She was unsure how she got them, and posited it was because of her proximity to the portal when it collapsed. (Worlds' Finest v1 #26)
Tanya Spears tried to free the original Power Girl using an etheric transponder that allowed her to travel there in an incorporeal state. However, her physical body was disconnected from the machine by an unaware Kid Flash Wallace West causing both women to remain trapped as a result. (Deathstroke Annual v4 #1)

While in gigantic form she can even lift a large cargo ship but with objects of that size she must be extremely careful as they might collapse under their own weight. (Deathstroke v4 #23)

It was noted that Karen Starr had bequeathed the entire fortune of Starr Industries to Tanya after she disappeared from the world. As such, Spears had become a billionaire overnight and had invested the fortune wisely. (Deathstroke Annual v4 #1)
