Note

  • The Ten Rings were an original creation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe where they made their first appearance in Iron Man (Marvel Studios, 2008).
  • The name of the Ten Rings seems to be a reference to the ten rings of the Iron Man villain Mandarin.

This body was responsible for a surprise strike against Tony Stark when he was demonstrating his new Jericho missiles to the U.S. military in the region. He was captured and forced to work for the Ten Rings until he escaped in a prototype armor system. It was later revealed that the Ten Rings were hired by Stark Industries Obadiah Stane who had planned on taking over Stark's corporation.
