Tendo, Akane

The youngest daughter of Soun Tendo, Akane can be called a tomboy. She practices heavily in the martial arts, and is good enough to break a brick in half and fend off over a hundred suitors at once. She wants nothing to do with boys, and was upset when she was forced into an engagement with Ranma Saotome. Her engagement is a pre-arranged affair meant to secure the future of the Tendo Dojo and the Anything Goes School of Martial Arts. Both she and Ranma protest that they don't like each other. He calls her an "uncute tomboy" and she calls him a pervert, but there is a great deal of evidence that they do love each other.

Akane has two sisters, Nabiki and Kasumi. Akane is the center of attention for many male suitors, including but not limited to Tatewaki Kuno, Ryoga Hibiki, and Ranma Saotome. For many years she had a crush on Doctor Tofu Ono. Originally had long hair, it was accidentally cut in a battle between Ranma and Ryoga. She has a pet pig named P-Chan. (She is not aware P-Chan is actually Ryoga.)
