History
The Beast was a mysterious bio-mechanical virus that was seemingly native to hyperspace. Around one million years ago, an alien exploration vessel known as the Naggarok arrived from a neighbouring galaxy whilst using a unique form of hyperdrive to make the journey. Unknown to the crew, their journey through hyperspace led to their vessel being infected with a viral entity that came to be known as the Beast. The organism began to assimilate the vessel and to prevent it from escaping the crew decided to destroy the vessels engines along with communication array to trap it inside their mothership. However, the entity came to launch one of the ships emergency beacons that had been assimilated by samples of the Beast. For millions of years, the beacon remained dormant in space and remained undiscovered across the years.
