Television

  • In Legion of Super-Heroes, Time Bubbles featured in the animated series where they were unnamed in the pilot but referred to by name in the season finale "Sundown". The episode "Man of Tomorrow" showed Legionnaires Saturn Girl, Brainiac 5 and Bouncing Boy of the 31st century use such a device to go back in time to the teenage years of Clark Kent when he was in Smallville. They managed to get him to join them in their timeline to battle the Fatal Five whereupon he had numerous adventures with the Legion of Super-Heroes. In "Sundown, Brainiac 5 gave Superman a device to activate the Time Bubble to send him back to his timeline in case they failed to stop the Sun-Eater. After the Sun-Eater was stopped, Superman used the Time Bubble to go back to his time but informed his friends in the Legion of Super-Heroes that he would return to help them. In "The Man From the Edge of Tomorrow", Brainiac 5 borrowed Phantom Girls Time Bubble tech to go get the aid of Superman during the battle against Imperiex.
