Towa Higurashi navigated her life in modern-day Tokyo as a half-demon struggling to suppress her supernatural instincts while attending an all-girls academy. She frequently engaged in physical altercations with local gangs and delinquents who targeted her or her peers, utilizing her enhanced strength and reflexes to effortlessly dismantle groups of attackers. Despite her adoptive family's pleas for restraint, she remained a serial brawler, often jumping from rooftops and scaling school walls with acrobatic ease to avoid authority figures. She spent her days protecting her younger sister, Mei, while grappling with the mysterious Silver Rainbow Pearl lodged in her right eye, which she sensed was the source of her strange, blue-tinted energy. Throughout these confrontations, she maintained a tomboyish appearance, favouring a male school uniform and short, white hair with a single red streak that marked her demonic heritage. By the time a sudden portal opened in the Higurashi shrine, Towa had already established herself as a legendary fighter in the urban underworld, though she remained completely unaware of her true lineage as the daughter of the Great Dog Demon, Sesshomaru. Towa Higurashi was thrust back into the Feudal Era when the Root Head demon opened a portal through the Sacred Tree of Ages, pulling her from the modern world alongside her younger sister, Mei. She arrived in a landscape teeming with hostile energy, where she was immediately confronted by two mysterious warriors: the bounty hunter Moroha and the cold, distant demon slayer Setsuna. Towa experienced a profound shock upon recognizing Setsuna as her long-lost twin sister, but her emotional reunion was met with a blade as Setsuna, having lost her memories to the Dream Butterfly, viewed her only as a suspicious intruder. Throughout the chaotic skirmish that followed, Towa refused to fight back with lethal intent, instead utilizing her superior agility to dodge Setsuna’s Scythe and attempt to appeal to their shared past. Her confusion deepened as she realized the world she had left behind ten years prior had become a place of brutal survival, and her modern sensibilities were quickly challenged by the sudden appearance of a revived Mistress Three-Eyes. By the time the demon lunged for the Rainbow Pearls lodged in their eyes, Towa had resolved to protect the sister who no longer knew her name, even if it meant exposing her half-demon nature to the dangerous inhabitants of the past.
