Biography
Richard Masullo was a male human who was born in the modern age.
He eventually wanted to put his life of crime and violence behind him in order to raise a family. However, his employer Tony Twist came to learn of this and made his move to prevent his enforcer from leaving. Before he could leave the mob, Richard was captured and shipped to Germany where he was used as a test subject for Project: TREMOR. This was part of the Mafia's first attempts at creating a supersoldier that led to Masullo was subjected to numerous experiments involving gene manipulation and cybernetics that turned him into a being that resembled a demon. Despite the efforts, the newly created 'Tremor' was seen as a failure as he sill retained his free will and he had nothing but disgust at his new form with this overwhelming his loyalty to the Mafia. In response, Twist had Richard's family all killed except for his brother David who was he only one allowed to live. Upon learning of this, an enraged Tremor broke free from the laboratory and went on the run. Meanwhile, Tony Twist told David that it was Tremor that was responsible for killing his family leading to him hunting Richard across the world. (Spawn v1 #25)
