Biography
Typhon
Later on, Doctor Fate came to be possessed by one of the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man where he caused members of the Justice League and Justice Society of America to be banished to the Tower of Fate. Once there, they came to be attacked by some of the supernatural protectors of the fortress with Typhon being among them. As protector of the realm, he sought to make the heroes burn in Hell where Typhon came to fight against Superman with the Man of Steel managing to defeat the Lord of Chaos after being aided by Courtney Whitmore and Alan Scott. The Golden Age Green Lantern then used his powers to access the mind of the defeated Typhon for a means of escaping the infinite maze of the Tower of Fate. (JLA/JSA: Virtue and Vice v1 #1)
