History

The Tyrell Corporation was a world spanning company that formed on Earth. In the early part of the 21st Century, the Corporation was responsible for designing a new series of advanced robots that evolved into organic machines that were the NEXUS phase that became known as Replicants.

In November 2019, Blade Runner Rick Deckard visited the Tyrell Corporation to administer a Voight-Kampff test to Rachael, an experimental replicant and Tyrell's assistant.

Roy Batty, the leader of a group of escaped replicants, later convinced J.F. Sebastian, a genetic engineer with the company, to bring him to Tyrell's quarters at the top of the building, on the pretense of a chess move in an ongoing game between him and Tyrell. It was there that Batty killed Tyrell after he said he had no way to extend his life.

In 2020, the Tyrell Corporation developed the Nexus-8 line of replicants, who possessed lifespans equal to that of human beings. Because of this, humanity declared the replicants a threat to its existence and started hunting them down en-masse.

In 2022, an EMP was detonated on Earth leading to the events of the Blackout that caused havoc on the planet. A great deal of destruction impacted the world with digital records were lost. By the next year, all production of Replicants were prohibited leading to the collapse of the Tyrell Corporation. In 2025, a new company emerged named as Wallace Corp headed by Niander Wallace that solved the global food crisis and becomes a massive power. It took over the assets of Tyrell and generated a new line of Replicants leading to prohibition over their creation being repealed by 2030.
