History
One of the earliest leaders of the Pure Ones known as the High Tyto was responsible for killing the father of Cletus and Tavis. (Guardians of Ga'Hoole: Lost Tales of Ga'Hoole)
The original group was thus reduced to remnants following their defeat in the battle known as The Burning. (Guardians of Ga'Hoole: Lost Tales of Ga'Hoole)
Overview
Their ranks were noted to hold a rigid social structure. The focus on their notion of owl purity meant that they savagely targetting anyone that disagreed with them. (Guardians of Ga'Hoole: Lost Tales of Ga'Hoole)
The leader of this faction was known as the High Tyto who was referred to as "His Pureness". (Guardians of Ga'Hoole: Lost Tales of Ga'Hoole)

- Metal Beak : a male Sooty Owl who was the supreme commander of the Pure Ones whose beak was slashed off by Ezylryb in the War of the Ice Claws and came to wearing a metal mask in order to hide his scarred face. His fate as the movie showed Soren stabbing him with a burning wooden pike whilst the books showed him to be killed by Kludd.
- Kludd : a female Barn Owl who was Metal Beak's mate who was fatally wounded by Soren in the War of the Ember.
- Nyra : a male Barn Owl who was theolder brother of Soren with his role changing between media. In the film, he was snatched by the Pure Ones and trained by Nydra to become a Pure One guard where he almost died when trying to kill Soren only to survive and become the new Metal Beak. In the books, he was killed by Twilight who split his back wide open and severed his spine.
