Vasudans

Vasudans are an alien race that features in the FreeSpace universe.

History
At some point, they forged their empire known as the Parliamentary Vasudan Empire (PVE) that would encounter the Terran interstellar government with a fourteen year war waged between the two sides. This Terran-Vasudan conflict would come to an end when a mysterious new race known as the Shivans emerged who indiscriminately began attacking both species.
Overview
A death cult known as the 'Hammer of Light operated within Vasudan society who came to worship the Shivans.
