History

The Visitors were an extraterrestrial bipedal humanoid reptilians that were native to another world in the galaxy. According to Supreme Commander John, their homeworld was the fourth from the star known to mankind as Sirius. This was located 8.7 light years away from Earth and according to him; the reason for coming to the human world was because their own home planet had suffered from serious environmental stage. He stated that it had reached a stage where they would not survive without assistance namely from manufacturing chemicals from other worlds. It was said that a number of unmanned ships had passed by Earth and learnt of the existence of native humans. By careful studying of the world, the Visitors had learnt the language of mankind and other elements of their culture before deciding to make contact. To the leaders of the world, Supreme Commander John proclaimed that his people had come in peace and wanted to retool several factories across the world to synthesize the necessary chemicals for their own planet. In exchange, the Visitors claimed that they would share the very limits of their science with humanity before departing and leaving in peace. (Episode: V: The Mini-Series)

Overview

Shock troopers.

In appearance, the Visitors are humanoid reptilians who possess a dark green skin and noted reptile features which they were capable of masking by wearing a unique plastic disguise that covered their bodies making them appear human. Their biology allowed them to survive temporarily within an environment where the temperature was three hundred degrees below zero. Such conditions involving liquid nitrogen and cryogenic storage was capable of freezing humans solid and causing grievous injuries as the frozen limbs shattered upon contact with solid objects as well as suffer from intense cold. However, Visitors were able to journey through such locations without any degradation in their activities.

Their mouths were notably reptilian in form and contained long tongues that they were able to stick out. Glands present also allowed for the out a potent neuro-toxin which affected a persons nervous system causing them to be blinded and even result in a persons heart to flutter as well as the lungs to be infected. In addition to this, the species were voracious eaters and preferred to eat live prey. The mouths of a Visitor was capable of opening far wider then a normal human allowing them to eat larger animals and were even ate full grown humans.

Despite being an extra-terrestrial species, the Visitors are capable of breeding with humans and creating a hybrid race from the two.
