Biography

The War Doctor was an incarnation of the Doctor who arose during the time of the Last Great Time War. At the time, the Time Lords of Gallifrey and the Daleks of Skaro were engaged in a terrifying conflict that affected the entire universe with both factions becoming as monstrous as the other. In this time, the Eighth Doctor attempted to save the life of a woman only for his craft to crash leading to him being fatally injured. He was temporarily resurrected by the Sisterhood of Karn where he was urged to enter the conflict to stop it. Thus, he was offered an elixir that would trigger a regeneration which would allow him to take the form of his choice. The Doctor at this moment felt the universe did not need a doctor but rather a warrior. As such, he took the elixir with this thought in mind and was transformed as he became the War Doctor who disowned his name as he said "Doctor no more".
