Overview

Personality and attributes

It was said that he hated all happiness and sought to destroy it but mourned those same people who he brought despair and death. He was said to hate the very thought of happiness with a happy face being more than he could stand and he often lashed out at such people. He often commented on how life was terribly sad and he expressed these views when wandering. The Weeper was said to shed crocodile tears as though his heart would break when he committed the deed. It was noted that he could never smile but only weep with him being known as the 'Murderer Who Mourned His Victims'. (Master Comics v2 #23)

Powers and abilities

He was known to gather men of a gloomy nature and disposition who became his henchmen with them being known as the Bitter Men. (Master Comics v2 #23)

  • The original Weeper was created by Mac Raboy where he made his first appearance in Master Comics v1 #23 (February, 1942).
  • The second Weeper where he made his first appearance in Mary Marvel v1 #8 (December, 1946).
