Biography
Carol Vance Martin was a female human who was born as the daughter of Frank Vance. (Smash Comics v1 #25)
Fifteen years ago, a forest fire raged through the great northwest with the young Carol being lost trapped in the flames. Her forest ranger father went to find her but fell unconscious after succumbing to the choking smoke. It was then that the Lord of Fire appeared to survive the destruction of his flames but was surprised that the young Carol was unharmed by the fires. Impressed at her courage, he imparted her an immunity to fire and made her the mistress of the flames along with the power to manipulate it. (Smash Comics v1 #25)
