Alternate Versions

In other media

Television

  • In Young Justice, the Team appeared in the setting of the animated television series. The team was formed after four sidekicks (Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, and Kid Flash) came together hoping to join the Justice League. However, when they discovered they were to be kept at arm's length Speedy left in anger. After the League left for a mission the sidekicks decided to answer an emergency call sent to the League, where they discovered the Super-Boy and made an enemy of Project Cadmus and the mysterious organization known as the Light. In an act of defiance, the four teens banded together to form a team. As a result, the group was officially put together as a covert group to act in ways the Justice League could not, with the Justice League inducting Miss Martian, Martian Manhunter's niece, onto the team. A month later, Green Arrow introduced his new sidekick Artemis, to the team. He and Batman did not divulge her true history to the Team, and instead of the daughter of villain Sportsmaster, she was given the cover story of being Green Arrow's 'niece'.

Video games

  • In Young Justice: Legacy, the Team appeared in the setting of the video game tie-in to the animated television series. The Team were investigating the mysterious disappearance of a young archaeologist named Dr. Helena Sandsmark, the mother of Wonder Girl. This investigation leads them to Greece, where they uncover that Sandsmark had unearthed fragments of an ancient artifact called the Fists of Atlas, which are connected to powerful alien technology left behind by the Lords of Chaos and the New Gods. As the Team chases leads, they encounter members of the Light, a shadowy organization manipulating events from behind the scenes. Villains such as Icicle Jr., Sportsmaster, Killer Frost, and Bane appear as the Team tracks the stolen artifacts through locations including Russia, Siberia, South America, and the Middle East. As the mission escalates, it becomes clear that the villains are collecting parts of an ancient Beetle Scarab weapon system, predating the Reach’s current technology. The Team eventually uncovers that the villain Tiamat was being resurrected through the artifact assembly. Tiamat was revealed to be a synthetic bio-weapon left by an alien warlord, and the Light intended to use her to tip the balance of power. To stop then, the Team coordinated missions across the globe to recover the remaining fragments and stop the resurrection process. The discovered that the threat of Tiamat cannot be stopped by conventional means. Working together with the Justice League, they confront her in a climactic battle that tests all of their skills. Ultimately, the Team defeats Tiamat before she can become fully operational, foiling the Light’s immediate plan but realizing this was only one part of a much larger scheme—setting the stage for the growing presence of the Reach and the secrets to be revealed in Young Justice: Invasion. The game ends with hints of future threats and the acknowledgment that the younger generation of heroes are ready to stand on their own.
