- Zhou Cheng was created by Duane Swierczynski and Travel Foreman where he made his first appearance in Immortal Iron Fist v1 #17 (September, 2008).

Television
- In Iron Fist, Zhou Cheng appeared in the live-action television series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe episode "The Blessing of Many Fractures" where he was portrayed by actor Lewis Tan. This version was not a demon but rather a mortal martial artist trained by Ch'i-Lin and taught to use large amounts of alcohol to tame his inner dragon. He was described as the sworn defender of the Hand and served Madame Gao with him being tasked to defend one of her facilities in China. He used his drunken fist style to battle Danny Rand who had come to the Chinese facility. Despite his skill, he was punched brutally by Danny before being stopped by Colleen Wing and Claire Temple.
