'''Professor Hideto Miyajima''' was the head scientist of [[Miyajima Laboratory]], to whom [[Shimizu, Masahiko|Masahiko Shimizu]] took the bit of [[Space Titanium|space titanium]] he found in a cave on Okinawa. Miyajima identified the metal as extraterrestrial in origin. He and his daughter [[Miyajima, Eiko|Eiko]] then travelled with Masahiko to Okinawa to investigate the cave, which as it turned out was being used as a secret base by the [[Black Hole Aliens|Black Hole aliens]]. The three were quickly captured. Alien commander [[Kuronuma]] forced Miyajima to help repair the damaged [[Mechagodzilla]] by threatening to kill Eiko and Masahiko. Of course, once Miyajima finished Kuronuma broke his promise and attempted to kill all three of them by scalding them to death inside a steam-execution room. They were saved by [[Shimizu, Keisuke|Keisuke Shimizu]] and [[Nanbara, Agent|Agent Nanbara]] of Interpol and escaped from the case, but Miyajima, feeling guilty for assisting the aliens, returned with Masahiko and Nanbara to stop Kuronuma's plans, and succeeded despite being captured a second time.
