Pokolistan deployed a bio-weapon against Bialya that was stopped by Superman with the aid of the newly emerged [[The Elite (DC)|Elite]]. Afterwards, Kal-El returned to Bialya as he sought more information on the Elite when the country was hit by a EMP bomb generated by Coldcast to stop the combating forces. The detonation of the EMP knocked out Superman where Pokolistani armed forces attempted to kill him but were themselves brutally killed by the Elite. In retaliation, the Bialyan airforce sent fighter jets into Pokolistan but these were all disabled by Superman in an effort to prove that conflict could be ended without killing.
