The gathering was interrupted by [[Jared Stevens]] who was mortally wounded and died from his wounds. At that moment, the undead '''Sons of Anubis''' arrived in order to claim the artefacts of Fate leading to a fight with the superheroes leading to Jack Knight battling them. The defeated the undead mummies whereupon Scarab arrived who warned of a great threat and that only the JSA could help stop it. (JSA v1 #1) He later joined the Justice Society as they sought to find the '''Fate-Child''' that was being targeted by the mysterious Dark Lord with Jack Knight joining a team to Venice to examine one of three new born children to see if it was a prophecised child. (JSA v1 #2) Jack came to join the other Justice Society members as they sought to save the captive Fate-Child from the Dark Lord who was revealed to be [[Mordru]]. The sorcerer had taken the child to the [[Tower of Fate (DC)|Tower of Fate]] to claim the power of Doctor Fate when the Justice Society arrived. Jack Knight was among the many heroes that sought to stop Mordru but was easily overpowered by the villain. (JSA v1 #3) ==Overview== ===Personality and attributes=== As a child, he was said to had always wanted to be a superhero and knew all the names of the heroes operating when his father was Starman. A young Jack was said to had all his father's cases and collected clippings from newspapers with these being in his scrapbook. This stemmed from him always liking old things including the aesthetic. (Starman Secret Files v1 #1) It was said that he had the need to rebel ever since he was in the womb. According to his father, he believed that the rebelliousness came after his mother had died. He was noted to had changed as a result where he came to no longer like superheroes. (Starman Secret Files v1 #1) He used to listen to danceband music as a kid but after his mother's death he began to listen to louder music instead. It was during this time that he was noted to have gotten his nose pierced that led to a big fight with his father. According to Ted Knight, his son Jack was said to had not been a good person back in this time. (Starman Secret Files v1 #1) One of his hobbies was painting where it was said that he had become a slave to art. (Starman Secret Files v1 #1) His relationship with his father changed after his mother's death as he began to have numerous arguments and fights with him. (Starman Secret Files v1 #1) He and his brother David were said to had been too different due to Jack being so unlike his father. Meanwhile, his brother David was said to had been more like Ted Knight.
