Princess Selina Salno was heiress to the throne of Selgina following the death of her father. To escape from assassins, the Princess flew to Japan during which time her plane was destroyed by a bomb. However she became possessed by a Venusian and survived. Selling her golden bracelet of succession to a fisherman, Selina the Venusian preached Doomsday to the people of Japan. She predicted the return of both Godzilla and Rodan as well as the first appearance of King Ghidorah.
Police Detective Shindo, assigned to protect her, assumed her to be insane and brought her to see Dr. Tsukamoto at his clinic, although the psychiatrist was unable to determine whether she was in fact insane. In the meantime assassins from Selgina, led by Malmess, came to Japan to kill the Princess and steal the bracelet. The possessed Selina was protected by Shindo although in the end it was a (non-fatal) bullet from Malmess' gun that restored the Princess' memory and broke her spell. She then returned to Selgina and took her place as Queen.
