Bill Nyberg, an executive of the Umbrella Corporation, was handling "the Hardy case," a suit being filed against Umbrella by the family of Teresa Hardy. Nyberg was one of the many passengers on board the Ecliptic Express when it was attacked by giant leeches under the command of the resurrected Dr. James Marcus. He was among the first to die.
