Biography

The former Dark Hunter codenamed "Tyrant" was once a member of the Shadowed One's species who participated in the civil war on their home island until his newly whetted appetite for conquest led him to leave in search of a land he could call his own. His search brought him to a small island south of Odina which he soon conquered, becoming a dictator who struck fear into his subjects by performing frequent executions on the unruly and disobedient.

3000 years ago, the Dark Hunters proposed an alliance with Tyrant during the Toa-Dark Hunter War. Tyrant saw potential in the Dark Hunters and agreed to join, intending to usurp the Shadowed One and take control of the Dark Hunters from within. However, Tyrant's intentions became clear when he neglected his duties and consistently challenged the Shadowed One's authority, leading the Shadowed One to decide to dispose of Tyrant.

Later in the war, the Shadowed One dispatched Tyrant and two other Dark Hunters on a mission to confront the Toa Mangai on Metru Nui. Unbeknownst to Tyrant, his companions had been ordered to abandon him the moment the fight began. Tyrant was defeated by the Toa Mangai and sank beneath the waves of the Silver Sea, vowing revenge on the Shadowed One. The Dark Hunters assumed that Tyrant would drown and returned to Odina, but despite their efforts, he managed to survive.

When the Great Spirit Robot was critically damaged in the Battle of Bara Magna, Tyrant emigrated from the Matoran Universe to Spherus Magna.

Powers and abilities

Tyrant and his armor are invulnerable to extremes of temperature, for he has the power to absorb tremendous amounts of heat that he can then release in the form of a superheated blast of air. He can also use superheated air to levitate.
