Bill Sutherland was one of Paul Kaufman's board members in Fiddler's Green. He often clashed with Kaufman over how to run the Green. When Cholo DeMora threatened to shell the Green and Kaufman began making plans to escape with all of their money, Sutherland confronted him and was shot by Kaufman.
