Preston was Carl Denham's loyal assistant who went with him to Skull Island. He accompanied Denham on the mission to rescue Ann Darrow from King Kong's clutches, and although Herb was killed Preston survived. Back in New York, Preston lost faith in his boss watching Denham becoming chummy with Zelman, Farragher and Poehler.
