Andy Cavenaugh lived in the town of Dead River with his wealthy parents, who bought him a vintage Pontiac Firebird convertible. He was a friend of Sam Whitemoon and hung out with him and their mutual friend "Fatso" Gibbens. Sam called him "Rich Boy" all the time. All three dreamed of going to Hollywood to become movie stars. To achieve this the three boys decided to rob the local store belong to Ray Spruce. The robbery soon turned into a double murder as Sam shot and killed both Ray and his wife, Martha.
