The Meganulons were a species of giant prehistoric insect.
Showa
The Meganulons infested the coal mines of Kitamatsu, brutally killing the unfortunate miners. Their hard carapace made them immune to gunfire and they have huge, powerful pincers and mandibles; they were also adept swimmers. All of the Meganulons were presumably eaten by Rodan when he hatched from his egg.
