Ricky was a young cabin boy aboard the S.S. Venture, who had a pet monkey named Chips. When Ann Darrow was kidnapped by the natives of Skull Island, it was Ricky who found the bracelet left behind in the struggle. Later he snuck along on the mission to rescue Ann from King Kong.
