Mr. Hall was the husband of Mrs. Hall and co-owner of the Coach and Horses Inn. Hall was the first person in Iping to notice that the mysterious Griffin was invisible: when a dog bit him and tore his glove, Griffin retreated to his room and Hall followed to see if he was alright, only to see Griffin without his glove and handless (or so Hall thought).
