Commander Gherant was the Imperial officer aboard the bridge of the Executor with Captain Piett during the Battle of Endor. He died with Piett during the Battle of Endor, when a Rebel A-Wing starfighter flown by Arvel Crynyd smashed into the Executor's bridge and destroyed it.
