Max was the twin brother of Min, a small-time punk who had been prosecuted by Harvey Dent while he was still District Attorney. When Dent became Two-Face, he hired Max and his brother to be his assistants in his campaign against Rupert Thorne. Both Min and Max were ultimately killed by Thorne's men.
