Zords

The Zords were robotic vehicles created by Zordon, designed in the image of various life forms, used by the Power Rangers. Several sets of these vehicles have been created.

The originals, known alternately as Dino Zords or simply Zords, were: a Tyrannosaurus Rex (Red Ranger), a Pterodactyl (Pink Ranger), a Saber-Toothed Tiger (Yellow Ranger), a Triceratops (Blue Ranger), and a Mastodon (Black Ranger). These could be combined into a super-robot, the Megazord. There were also two specialized Zords, the Green Ranger's Dragonzord and Titanus, the Carrier Zord. The Dragonzord could combine with the Megazord to form the Mega Dragonzord or Dragonzord Battle Mode, and the Mega Dragonzord could combine with Titanus to create the Ultrazord.

When Lord Zedd took over Rita Repulsa's operation, he first used the Zords against the Power Rangers with his monster, Pirantishead. They broke the monster's control of their vehicles, but Zedd still destroyed all but the Dragonzord and Titanus. The destroyed vehicles were reformed by Zordon into the Thunder Zords.
