Origin
The Elephant Man
He came to join a new incarnation of the Brotherhood of Evil who were tasked with raiding research facilities that contained technology that could be used for cloning. This was because the Brain intended to use it to clone himself a body and become a human again. During one such attack, their activities drew the attention of the Teen Titans who sought to bring the supervillains to justice for their crimes against Bludhaven. (Teen Titans v3 #35)
Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
