Biography
Eva Bell was a female Mutant human who was born in the modern age where she had a brother named Steven. Unaware of her powers, she lived a normal life in Australia where she came to like a boy named David. This saw her friend taking her to a party on the Gold Coast that David was attending at the time. Her brother Steven arrived at the scene in an angry sate where he attacked David and warned him to stay away from his sister. This led to a fight between him and David's friends who went to protect him where Eva desperately wanted them to stop. This caused the manifestation of her powers that led to everything stopping around her with Eva being confused by what was happening at the time. She was then telepathically approached by Cyclops, Emma Frost and Magneto who revealed she was a Mutant with the power to control time. They revealed that her powers had frozen time over an entire block that had been trapped in this state for a 20 hour period. Frost would help Eva in stopping the time stop whereupon they warned that the authorities had arrived at the scene to arrest the culprit but assured her that they would rescue her before she could be taken into custody. At first, Eva simply wanted to go back home and return to a normal life but Cyclops told her that this was no longer possible. However, he said that he would take her to a place of safety and help train her in her abilities as he wanted to repent for past wrongs and asked for Eva's help to make this possible. They brought her to the former headquarters of the Weapon X Project in Canada. Once there, she met Christopher Muse and the two formed a friendship. (All-New X-Men v1 #4)
Later on she requested to go visit her mother in Gold Coast, Australia, where the Avengers appeared and attempted to take Cyclops and Emma Frost into custody. Eva used her powers to trap the Avengers in a time bubble to cease hostilities. After returning to the New Xavier School she showed a minor romantic interest in Cyclops. (Uncanny X-Men v3 #5) After he arrived with Angel, they were dragged into Limbo by Dormammu in his attempt to kill Magik. (Uncanny X-Men v3 #7)
After a nearly disastrous confrontation with Dormammu in the demonic dimension of Limbo, Cyclops and his fellow 'teachers' decided it was time to start actively training their students in the use of their new powers. During a sparring session, Eva trapped Magik in a time bubble but when she tried to free her, Magik vanished. She reappeared moments later, having traveled forward in time and Eva began to realize that there was much more to her powers than she knew. (Uncanny X-Men v3 #10) She later assisted in the battle against the Blockbuster Sentinel by protecting David before being knocked out by a blast. (Uncanny X-Men v3 #11)

Dr. Strange stated that her ability was the best he had ever seen, and a person within the field would require one hundred years to make one step. (A + X v1 #18)
