Biography
Hiro-Kala was the male son of the Hulk and Caiera the Oldstrong where he was the twin brother of Skaar with the pair being born on Sakaar. Whilst within his mothers womb, a great cataclysm came to his world which killed his mother and separated the twins who survived due to their unique biology. (Incredible Hulks v1 #612)
Afterwards, he freed Hiro-Amin from his chains who begged to be killed though the young boy had heard of his words to the Son of Hulk about the Old Power. The child desired the power for himself with the Shadow Priest telling the boy about how he had been cursed with it after the death of Koam. He cautioned the child over seeking it but after seeing the boy's determined he said that it required the death of the former holder of the Old Power. Thus, he was killed but the Old Power simply departed as this was a trick by the old priest. Axeman Bone was present at the time where he was impressed at the young Shadow child and decided that he would no longer be a slave but rather a freeman with him giving him the name of Hiro-Kala. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #5) With his sharp eyes, he sighted Skaar leading the refugees to the city of Orini where they attacked them. Hiro-Kala did not wish to harm the refugees but Axeman Bones targeted them simply for siding with the Son of Hulk. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #6)
In the aftermath Hiro-Kala was left to lead the remaining Sakaarans to find a new planet to live on. Hiro-Kala and the remaining Sakaarans had escaped in the last Stone Ship, though no one knew how to pilot it with no Old Power left now that Galactus had destroyed Sakaar and devoured its Old Power. After Galactus devoured the planet known as Doarj'n, Hiro-Kala commanded a Stone Drone to pilot towards Galactus and left the ship, to the amazement of those aboard the ship. Piloting the drone directly in front of Galactus, Hiro-Kala revealed that he now had the Old Power, having received the residual left over from Galactus' feeding and swore vengeance for the death of Sakaar, stating he would make the world devourer feel so much agony that Sakaar's death would seem like an inconsequential thought. This he vowed in the name of his father, Hulk the Green Scar and the name of his mother, Caiera the Shadow Queen. While Hiro-Kala was returning to the Stone Ship, Caiera revealed herself in a trail of Old Power, seemingly remorseful for neglecting to care for Hiro-Kala in his time of need, instead reserving her counsel for Skaar, the only child she knew. After returning to the Stone Ship, Hiro-Kala murdered one of Axeman Bone's soldiers, named Kutta, for questioning and challenging him. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #13) This saw him conquer the City of Fractas where he forced the people to worship him as a deity. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #14)
As Galactus fed on the planet, Hiro-Kala attacked him with the New Power, causing the cosmic being to feel the pain and anguish of every soul he had consumed. Hiro-Kala threatened Galactus that he probably poisoned other planets seeded with the Old Power, causing the latter to vomit the souls at him before retreating. Hiro-Kala was then met with his mother again who told him that she loved him and would know what he did, but he told her to leave as she was just an apparition of the Old Power. Caiera did as he wished and disappeared, leaving Hiro-Kala to despair. Having sacrificed Giausar to save the universe that Skaar had put in danger, Hiro-Kala returned to his ship intending to go after his brother. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #17)
He combined his fleet to continue moving K'ai past Jupiter towards Earth when they were intercepted by a Sakaaran stone ship used by the Hulk along with his allies. They sought to stop the planet from smashing into Earth whilst Hulk himself sought to reunite with his other son. However, Hiro-Kala instead dispatched his forces against and confronted Bruce Banner who transformed into the Hulk after seeing that his son had become a monster. (Incredible Hulks v1 #615) This led to a battle with his father where despite his use of the Old Power he failed in vanquishing the Hulk. (Incredible Hulks v1 #616) The fight broke Hiro-Kala who saw himself as a conduit of the Old Power now and thus succumbed to its destructive power which he unleashed without restraint. This led to a battle with his twin brother Skaar who attempted to reason with him and Hiro-Kala seemingly calmed down. However, the K'ai Worldmind revealed the depth of Hiro-Kala's actions and that he was simply attempting to justify his actions. Thus, Hiro-Kala went in a rage once more but was stopped when Skaar encased him in stone. The K'ai Worldmind then took custody of him as he believed Hiro-Kala was too dangerous to be free and instead sought to imprison him to be used to warm the orphaned world of K'ai. As such, he was lost the universe with the Hulk coming to mourn the loss of his son and being unable to save him from madness. (Incredible Hulks v1 #617)

Personality and attributes
Following the destruction of Giausar, he suffered a terrible injury that deformed the right side of his face. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #17) He was given the name of Hiro-Kala by Axeman Bones. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #5)
After the destruction of Sakaar, he accepted the role of being the Sakaarson and brooked no challenge to his authority. He was shown to murder people with his power for simply questioning him. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #13) This was only amplified the more he came to use the Old Power where he came to see himself as a god to be worshipped by others. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #14) By this point, he had become darker and more crueller where he casually allowed life to die if he deemed it unworthy to live. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #15) Though he ultimately claimed that he was no god and simply needed to portray himself as one to achieve his goals. Hiro-Kala had intended to purge the Old Power from the universe as he found it as an abomination that plagued space and endangered everyone. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #17)
His father was the Green Scar Hulk and his mother was Caiera the Oldstrong. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #13) Once, all he wanted in his life was his mother to be with him and cried for her to protect him. However, upon being the Sakaarson, he claimed that this was no longer the case as he understood his place in creation. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #14)
Hiro-Kala came to believe that his Old Power was driven by hate and that he hated Galactus most of all for his part in the destruction of Sakaar. He stated that this was because he had taken his mother away from him along with most other Sakaarans with him intending to get his revenge against the World Devourer by hurting him in kind. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #17) He came to feel that the Old Power was a curse that would destroy the universe and thus was willing to sacrifice thousands in order to save billions. As such, he was willing to engage in deplorable acts for what he perceived to be the greater good. (Incredible Hulks v1 #616)
Powers and abilities
Due to his mother, he came to be the inheritor of the Old Power that was prevalent among the Shadow People. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #13) This was actually an artificial and unstable form of the Power Cosmic that was created by the Shadows around ten thousand years ago. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #15)
He could instil it within others thus distorting a persons form into a gigantic monster with a limited lifespan but one that could serve as a powerful weapon on the battlefield. Hiro-Kala could fire powerful streams of this cosmic energy from his eyes as a means of attack. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #14)
Hiro-Kala was able to raise a force field capable of keeping him safe in the vacuum of space as well as withstanding a blast of unleashed power from Galactus at near point blank range. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #17)
Among his powers allowed him to operate the Shadow People's technology such as their stoneships. (Skaar: Son of Hulk v1 #13)
