Biography

Nakano was born in Japan, his first death took place in 743 BC. Since then, he studied the Buddhist art of Zen under Nichiren in the 1200s and became one of the ancient Japanese wise men known as "Yamabushi" who taught their Way to a select few. He had a very special capacity: he was a sorcerer that mastered the mystics of illusion. He would train several mortals and Immortals in his cave at Mount Niri. He was Ramirez’ mentor and taught him the art of metallurgy. Among these students, there was also in the 14th century Kane, whom he denied to teach the art of illusion. He promised he would return and gain the power of illusion by force.

In the 1590s, when he was teaching Connor MacLeod, expanding his martial and spiritual education to become a better warrior, Kane reappeared and fought him to acquire the art of illusion. Even though MacLeod interfered, Kane would decapitate Nakano, gaining Nakano’s knowledge, but the Quickening that generated made Nakano’s cave collapse, trapping Kane inside. MacLeod, however, was able to escape.
