Biography
Pre-Crisis
Ramulus
Operating as Nightshade, he began to offer his services to others to enact the perfect crime for a price. This involved having a refuge from the vengeful arm of the law and a place of hiding until any desire to chase the criminal had died down. Thus, Nightshade offered the perfect hideout to those that paid him creating a new era of crime with himself becoming wealthy in the process. He established with his technology a forest outside of Gotham City. In 1942, Wesley Dodds, the Sandman, and his protégé Sandy the Golden Boy ran afoul of Nightshade when the villain kidnapped the parents of one of Sandy's friends. While Sandman and Sandy rescued the kidnapped couple, Nightshade lost control over his electronic plants and was seemingly murdered by them, while his 'magic forest' burned to the ground. Post-Crisis
Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, he was a humanoid being with greenish plant-like skin and having red eyes. (World's Finest v1 #6)
Initially, he came to operate under the name Nightshade. (World's Finest v1 #6)
Powers and abilities
With his technology, he was able to create plants that followed his directions. These included rubbery tree-like tentacles that could lash out at enemies. (World's Finest v1 #6)
From a control room, he could control the forests he generated and managed all activities within them. (World's Finest v1 #6)
