Spell of Living Stone

The Spell of Living Stone was an incantation used by the evil wizard Wrath-Amon that can transform living beings into stone statues. It is bound into small grey spheres, which curse the target with the spell on impact. The spheres are derived from the venom of the Medusa. It is extremely hard to break, and can only reliably be reversed by the Amulet of Vathelos and the destruction of the Black Ring. Wrath-Amon cast the spell on the parents of Conan, resulting in the Cimmerian's relentless quest to defeat the wizard and find the means to undo the spell.
